NSW Business seminars promote innovation

By David Olsen on Tuesday, 23 February 2010

Industry & Investment NSW (I&I NSW) will hold a series of monthly seminars to enhance the business skills of innovative NSW companies.

The first seminar on 23 February focused on intellectual property strategies for entrepreneurs and involved representatives of more than 80 companies.

The seminars are being organised through I&I NSW’s Australian Technology Showcase (ATS) and Innovation Pathways programs to help build the business
skills of innovative companies to help them grow and create jobs.

The first seminar was held in conjunction with one of Australia’s leading intellectual property firms, Spruson & Ferguson, which is a patron of the Government’s ATS program.

It featured sessions on IP fundamentals, industry specific  break-out sessions, and an overview of strategies for commercialising IP in Australia and internationally.

Innovative companies wanting to find out more or participate in future seminars should contact Peter Gray at Industry & Investment NSW on peter.gray@business.nsw.gov.au
