Research In Motion opens Sydney headquarters

Research in Motion (RIM), the company behind Blackberry, has today unveiled a new regional headquarters in Sydney to service the Australian and New Zealand market.

The new headquarters was formally unveiled by Mr Thomas A.MacDonald, Consul General of Canada and features extensive training facilities, a research and development centre, a strategic partner marketing centre and technical support services.

MacDonald praised the efforts of RIM in establishing their Sydney headquarters.

“Research In Motion is a groundbreaking Canadian technology company and it’s a great pleasure to see the Blackberry device being adopted so readily in Australia. I congratulate Research In Motion on their ongoing success and the establishment of their regional headquarters in Sydney.”

Regional Director, Asia Pacific, RIM, Adele Beachley, believes that the new headquarters will enable RIM to “foster innovation and growth, while serving both customers and partners in the region.”
