Australia’s first training and mentoring school for entrepreneurs, CEOs and high-end executives has opened its doors in Sydney.
“Pilots train in a simulated environment, so the CEO School will train CEOs through experiential learning and deep interaction with other entrepreneurs … it’s a chance for leaders to stop, take a breath, and re-focus on the essentials,” Witt said.
The School targets CEOs, top executives and team leaders who may be new to their post, or whose company may be entering a time of flux or transition. Witt promises to bring his wide-ranging experience to the school, having held senior positions with AT&T, Telstra and Motorola as well as a number of CEO roles over the last 30 years.
“Everyone always talks about the thrill of a great idea and building a new enterprise. But how many people want to talk about the gritty reality behind that? The long hours, hard work, coming home late, hungry and tired. All of us at the CEO School have bled in the CEOs chair,” he said.
The school will utilise intensive diagnostic sessions to drill down to the gritty problems faced by CEOs each day. Students will participate in one-on-one coaching sessions, situational analysis and role plays.
“We will rely heavily on case studies and personal visits from CEOs who will recount their personal journey and key lessons along the way. The School will also foster peer group review and support each person’s individual personal goals,” Witt added.
Students will also learn about the importance of building an maintaining a trusted and confidential network of peers.
Classes at the CEO School will begin on October 11. To enroll, visit: www.ceoschool.com.au
