Yellow Brick Road launches “Small Business, Big Ideas” competition
Yellow Brick Road has announced today the company’s Small Business, Big Ideas competition in an effort to encourage entrepreneurs who are looking to turn their “big idea” into a successful business.
The competition launches on Yellow Brick Road’s website www.ybr.com.au on 3rd February 2011. Entrants will have to outline their idea and what makes them the ultimate entrepreneur in 500 words or less. The winner of the competition will win a one-on-one business development crash course with Yellow Brick Road Executive Chairman Mark Bouris at the Yellow Brick Road headquarters in the Sydney CBD.
“Yellow Brick Road is launching Small Business, Big Ideas because so many Australians have fantastic ideas and a real dream to own their own business, but don’t know where to start,” says Bouris. “We want to give people the opportunity to take the first step and put their big idea on the road to reality. Following our motto at Yellow Brick Road, we believe everyone should have the access to quality advice, and that’s what we want to provide the motivated entrepreneurs that enter Small Business, Big Ideas.”
Entrepreneurs looking to enter the competition can do so at Yellow Brick Road’s website www.ybr.com.au/competition. Each entrant must submit an essay of 500 words or less showcasing why their big idea makes them the ultimate businessperson. Entries will be accepted until 4th March 2011, at which time Mark Bouris and his team at Yellow Brick Road will choose a winner.
Whilst the essay is required, Yellow Brick Road is encouraging entrants to get creative with their submissions by sending photos, design plans, videos and more. Yellow Brick Road will share the most exciting entries, plus news and updates via their social media sites, including Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
The winner of the Small Business, Big Ideas competition will be announced on 11 March 2011 and will receive a personal, one-on-one business development crash course with Mark Bouris at Yellow Brick Road Sydney central office. In the crash course, Mark will break down the winner’s plans in a series of grilling
sessions and offer a comprehensive assessment of how the winner can build a successful business from his or her big idea.
