Boost Juice franchise to open 100 stores in India

In a deal worth $1.6 million, the Boost Juice franchise is expanding to India, with five stores to open next year and 100 stores open over the next five years.

Localisation will see the business trade as Joost Juice Bars in India, and according to General Manager Scott Meneilly and Founder Janine Allis, the master franchise agreement has been finalised with entrepreneurs Rivoli Sinha and Dev Agarwal, the directors of Joost Food Ventures Pty Ltd.

Sinha and Agarwal have direct links with SIS Group Enterprises, India’s fastest growing security enterprise which has over 52,000 employees. The company are experienced Franchisors, having acquired the master franchise for Service Master.

According to Meneilly, India represents an “exciting next step for Boost’s growth.”

“With a population tipped to be bigger than China by 2030 it is a critical market to have a strong presence in if we are to continue to be a major player in the global juice and smoothie market.”

Allis said she’s confident Boost will be well-received by the Indian market, thanks to the similarities in weather, a strong juice market with no single player, and the opportunity to enter a strong market with a growing franchise business culture.

“India has been highly sought after by potential franchisees, but that doesn’t change our process. Business experience and funding capabilities are important, however at Boost you stand out because of your passion and enthusiasm.”

She said Rivoli and Dev were the standouts for the master franchise agreement, thanks to their business experience and vision as well as “their fit with our ‘love life’ culture that assured us they are the perfect team to take Boost to India.”
