Chief Digital Officer and Conduct Risk Officer are among the roles named as next year’s ‘hot jobs’ in a forecast report released by executive search firm CTPartners.

The report measured the amount of global searches for executive positions midway through 2014 and revealed a 4 per cent growth in searches for executive positions from the same period last year.

“Despite major political and economic uncertainties that are present around the globe, our global team of consultants detects the continuing positive impact of innovation and new technologies in terms of strong demand for executive talent,” said CTPartners ‎Managing Partner, Asia Pacific, Jason Johnson.

16 executive titles made the list of ‘hot jobs’, which consisted of the following titles: Chief Marketing Officer, Digital Marketing/Chief Creative Officer, Chief Digital Officer, Analytics Practice Leader, Chief Information Security Officer, Digital Risk Officer, CHRO, Head of People Analytics, Conduct Risk Officer, Private Equity CFO, Head of Personalisation, Chief Growth Officer, Chief Innovation Officer, Head of Population Health Management, Chief Patient Officer and Head of Customer Engagement.

“We see the impact of tools such as data analytics helping companies to work in smarter and more efficient ways to serve their customers and build growth,” said Mr Johnson.

“We also see the responsiveness and resilience of business leaders and companies that are committed to seizing marketplace opportunities as they arise. We believe these forces and others will contribute to continued global job growth, especially in key sectors and regions, in 2015.”

The report pointed to the industrial and life sciences business sectors as the busiest in the world, while the EMEA and Asia Pacific regions have now joined the U.S. when it comes to job market strength in leadership roles.

Digital technology, data analytics, customer engagement, and cybersecurity were among the areas considered to be the strongest factors driving executive hires.
