$5,000 small business website package up for grabs
Internet consulting company O’Kane Internet Consulting is offering small business the chance to win a $5,000 website package simply by telling them their great idea for a new website or e-business.
The Federal Government recently announced an extension to the small business tax break from 30 percent to 50 percent in the Budget on capital assets over $1,000, such as a car or equipment. However O’Kane Internet Consulting felt that this should have included non-tangible assets such as websites and custom software, so as a result are doing their bit to help small businesses improve their online asset, by offering a $5,000 website package.
For small businesses who rely heavily on their website, an upgrade to their online presence or increasing their productivity through online processes can offer substantial benefits.
According to O’Kane Internet Consulting, a productive website can help make a business more successful.
Small business owners are invited to enter the competition before 30 June, indicating in 250 words or less what their business is and how O’Kane Internet Consulting can help.

We’re in total agreement – a fantastic website is crucial for modern small business, and our clients would have loved to be able to spend on web delelopment and design if only it was seen as the asset it is…websites can drive business much further than a new car – and it’s greener. Come on Kev!
Great idea O\’Kane. I work as a New Media consultant. Computer equipment is relatively cheap these days, therefore i\’m not getting much benefit from the tax break on capital assets. However if the government was to extend the tax break to cover websites and software then it would give my business a real boost.
