Microsoft offering free upgrade to Office 2010
In an effort to prevent consumers from holding off from purchasing the current version of Microsoft Office 2007 when Office 2010 is just around the corner, Microsoft is offering a free upgrade to Office 2010 through what is being called the Office 2010 Technology Guarantee.
The Office 2010 Technology Guarantee allows eligible consumers who purchase and activate Office 2007 between March 5 and September 30, 2010 to download Office 2010, at no additional software cost (download fees and charges may apply as set by internet service providers), when it becomes available.
For consumers to be eligible for this program, they will need to:
· Purchase Office 2007, or a new PC with Office 2007, and activate it between March 5 and September 30, 2010
· Possess, or create, a Windows Live ID
· Redeem their Technology Guarantee before October 31, 2010
office 2007 great desparate to try office 2010
You know you don’t have a compelling product upgrade when you have a ubiquitous product and you still need to have your first offer as free. Will pass and continue using OpenOffice, free install, free upgrade, non-proprietary formats.
