Nokia sues Apple for iPhone infringement

Nokia sues Apple for iPhone infringement
Mobile phone giant Nokia is suing US company Apple for infringing parents on mobile phone technology with its popular iPhone product.
A statement posted on Nokia’s website says the legal action covers 10 patents dealing with wireless data, speech-coding, security and encryption. Nokia says these patents have been infringed by all Apple iPhone models sold since the iPhone was introduced in 2007.
Deputy head of the company’s legal department, Ikka Rahnasto, said in a statement that Apple was attempting to cash in on Nokia’s innovative research campaigns.
“By refusing to agree appropriate terms for Nokia’s intellectual property, Apple is attempting to get a free ride on the back of Nokia’s innovation,” Ilkka Rahnasto, deputy head of Nokia’s legal department, said in the statement.
So far there has been no response from Apple regarding the infringments.
