Online job ads fall

The number of trade jobs advertised online fell in February, according to the Olivier Group.

The Olivier Job Index fell by 9.08 percent in February, with the biggest falls coming from the trades, services, transport, engineering, building and construction sectors.

Online advertisements for trades and services jobs slumped by 20.33 percent during February, while building and construction jobs fell 15.15 percent.

According to Olivier director, Robert Olivier, the economic downturn is beginning to affect all industries.
The number of job seekers has increased, which may have resulted in a drop in jobs advertised said Olivier.

“ Because more people are looking for work, recruiters aren’t running job ads as long as they needed to when the market was tight.”

I wonder how job listings are doing now?

  • This is certainly hands down probably the most thorough article I’ve read on the website. It saved us a day at your neighborhood library. And I had put together to go looking hard until I landed on this article. Thank for significantly for explaining this so brilliantly
