Businesses can now divert customer calls from fixed line to mobile when out of office. Vodafone has released a new system, Vodafone Unite, to ensure businesses can be in contact with customers all the time.

According to Vodafone head of business products, Andy Malakooti, Vodafone Unite is appealing to customers approaching businesses. “Some of our customers’ clients just feel more comfortable calling a business on a landline, rather than a mobile or 1300 number,” he said.

Businesses will be able to advertise a fixed landline to clients that can be transferred to a mobile number.

Kim Loupis, founder and managing director of coffee supplier Il Espresso, said that having this technology available has allowed the business to grow at a faster rate. “A fixed number on the side of our delivery vans makes us look more established, but with all the benefits of calls going through a mobile phone.”
