St.George wins Banking Website of the Year Award

St.George Bank has won the Banking Website of the Year award in in Money Magazine’s 2010 Consumer Finance Awards, with the Bank also launching an iPad Internet Banking App this week.

Stgeorge iPad AppSt.George Bank’s Chief Executive Greg Bartlett believes his bank thoroughly deserved Money Magazine’s Banking Website of the Year award for the many innovations St.George has brought in to engage with customers online.

“This prestigious Award recognises St.George’s focus on innovation and our commitment to providing our customers with a range of secure and intuitive online options. We’ve made it safer, faster and easier for our customers to bank with us online, with useful information and tools available at their finger tips,” said Greg Bartlett, .

St.George Bank’s winning of Money Magazine’s Banking Website of the Year Award comes about as a result of a number of recent St.George innovations, including the easy to use mobile phone banking application for smart phones (available for Apple iPhone, HTC Desire, Google Nexus One, Nokia N97 and Samsung SGN-i900) and last week’s announcement of a tailored banking application for Apple’s iPad.

“Our focus on delivering innovative technology is saving our customers time. We’re committed to adding to our range of online services, so even though our efforts have been recognised through this Award, we won’t be resting on our laurels.

“We have a raft of plans that will raise the bar even higher and we’ll continue to make further enhancements and improvements to our website and online platforms to continue to impress our customers – and the judges again, next year!” says Greg Bartlett.

St.George rival NAB also features in Money Magazine’s 2010 Consumer Finance Awards winning the 2010 Socially Responsible Bank of the Year award.
