Shop A Docket giving SMEs a kick start with free ad package

In order to drum up business for itself and SMEs, Shop A Docket is offering small businesses six weeks free in any 18-week advertising package on Shop A Docket grocery dockets, both online and in-store.

The Kick-Start package helps small business take advantage of the dockets wide distribution and the current consumer demand for value buys.

The dockets reach 93 percent of Australian households each week. With Woolworths now on board, Shop A Docket is the sole provider of docket advertising to major supermarkets and variety stores in Australia. Demand for coupon-based discounts is high, a Brandleaders Survey revealing 7 out of 10 shoppers have used a docket discount in the past year.

According to Shop A Docket National Sales Manager Tim Wingrove, the company has assisted more than 5,000 local businesses nationally every year and its advertising package has proven to be a great way for small businesses to communicate with their local target audience.

“Independent research shows that Shop A Docket is viewed as being more influential on consumer purchasing decisions than radio, internet, email, direct mail and outdoor advertising.”

Wingrove said more customers are buying cheaper goods online from large retailers and offshore providers.

“Small businesses are now competing on a global scale for customers and many simply don’t have the time or budget to run extensive marketing and advertising campaigns. We work with them to tailor an advertising strategy that will reach their customers effectively and frequently.”

While 77 percent of large Australian companies use online media for advertising and marketing, a recent Sensis survey found only 54 percent of small businesses in regional Australia have a website and only 13 percent have a digital strategy.
Shop A Docket offers the opportunity to advertise online, at no extra cost. Small businesses can reach customers through a medium they may have otherwise been unable to afford, while still encouraging shoppers to think local when making purchases.

All offers are uploaded to shopadocket.com.au within 48 hours of approval and advertisers also receive online exposure in 10 postcodes of their choice before the print distribution commences.
