Businesses in any stage of the growth cycle are being invited to attend “Digital Day”, a free Small Business September seminar looking at how to use e-commerce and social media.

At the two half-day seminars, digital business experts will will cover topics including how to get your business online, how technology can profit from the new tools of business such as cloud computing, social media and the mobile web.

Seminar presenter and social media consultant Lara Solomon said SMEs need to change their mindsets when endeavoring to promote their businesses in the digital world.

“SMEs can no longer do things the way they have always done before; they need to change to take advantage of the massive new opportunities.”

According to MC Paul Wallbank of Netsmarts, technology gives new and growing businesses access to tools and markets that until recently were unaffordable.

“The online world is changing the way we do business, Digital Day shows how small enterprises can use the web to grab opportunities.”

Run consecutively at the same Sydney venue, the “Digital Day” morning session tackles digital solutions for startup businesses, while the afternoon session looks at technology tools for growing enterprises.

Attendees should register for sessions that suit their current business phase. The seminar, which is just one of some 300 free seminars running across the state, will be held on Wednesday 21 September, 8:15am-12:15pm (for startup businesses) & 1:15-5:15pm (for growth businesses), Telstra Business Centre, Level 4, 400 George St, Sydney.
