Budget friendly ways to boost your traffic

Online marketing is an ongoing process that requires regular time and effort.

Fortunately though, you don’t need to be an SEO guru or have an enormous marketing budget to improve your website traffic.

Here are a few low cost ways to encourage more traffic to your site:

Video clips

Short video footage can be a valuable asset to your website. Video is becoming increasingly popular as a marketing tool, and images are generally ranked higher than text by search engines. Try a short instructional or informational video clip, and slowly build up until you have a series.

Undertake link building activities

Building links with reputable sites can be a big boost to your search engine rankings. The search engines view links as votes for your site, and the more you have, the higher your site is likely to rank.

Make use of social media

Social media can be a great way to drive traffic to your site. Make sure you promote your blog posts via Facebook and Twitter, and any other social media platforms you use to encourage people to visit your site and share your information with their friends.

Blog regularly

Regular blogging can help your search engine optimisation, as well as allow you a means to build up your credibility and engage with your customers. If you don’t have the time to blog, you can comment on other blogs, or guest blog to help get your name out there and build links to your site.

Use keywords on your website

If you aren’t familiar with search engine optimisation (SEO), using the right keywords on your site can give you a distinct advantage when it comes to attracting the right readers to your site. Once you have identified the keywords you want to use, make sure they are in your titles and in the website content. Adding them to your homepage title is also important if you want to increase your search engine rankings.

Increasing your website traffic does not have to be costly or complicated. With a few simple strategies, you can give your search engine rankings a boost, and engage with your customers more readily  – which can lead to higher conversion rates and increased repeat business.
