New crowdfunding campaign to support young entrepreneurs in the G20 YEA

A new crowdfunding campaign has just been launched to raise money for young entrepreneurs representing Australia in the 2013 G20 Young Entrepreneurs Alliance Summit in Moscow.

The G20 Young Entrepreneurs Alliance (G20 YEA) Summit is a forum where young entrepreneurs from the G20 countries gather to learn best practices in growing dynamic companies, and celebrate entrepreneurship as the leading source of job and wealth creation, innovation and the social and economic well-being of all nations.

Recommendations in the areas of policy and taxation, access to funding, coordinating support initiatives, and education and training by participants are then put forward to political leaders attending the G20 Summit, who in turn have the power to implement the changes.

In June, the Enterprise Network for Young Australians (ENYA) is taking 23 young entrepreneurs to represent Australia at the G20 YEA Summit in Moscow, Russia. However, 10 of these entrepreneurs are early stage start-ups with tight budgets, and are in urgent need of support to get there.

The crowdfunding campaign aims to raise $38,000 to make sure young Australian entrepreneurs are able to represent the ingenuity and innovation that prevails in our country.

ENYA’s delegates say, “Aussie ingenuity, innovation, persistence and determination needs to be championed. Australia punches well above it’s weight in business innovation and success, and the world needs to see just how great our young entrepreneurs are!”

In 2014, the G20YEA Summit will be hosted by ENYA in Australia. With Sydney being one of the fastest growing start-up communities in the world, strong representation in Russia will help shine the spotlight of global entrepreneurship firmly on Australia.
