Telstra NSW Business Awards won by 26 year old entrepreneur

Intact Group, a commercial property services firm launched in 2007 when its founder was just 23 years old has won top honours in the 2010 Telstra NSW Business Awards.

Telstra Intact GroupIntact Group Pty Ltd provides maintenance in commercial buildings in and around Sydney’s CBD under contracts with leaders of Australia’s facility management industry.

Founded by Nathan Dale, the business overcame reservations about the youth of its management team and broke through some negative perceptions about the maintenance industry with its quality assurance and the service delivered by its team of 17 staff.

The business was announced Telstra NSW Business of the Year at the 18th Telstra NSW Business Awards after earlier winning the MYOB Small Business Award.

Telstra Business Group Managing Director and Ambassador of the Telstra Business Awards Deena Shiff said that all NSW winners of the five Awards categories were chosen from hotly-contested fields and all had sound business strategies to continue their current growth.

“Intact Group should feel a great sense of pride because the calibre of the 20 finalists in this year’s Awards was very impressive, reflecting the strength of Australia’s small and medium business sector,” Ms Shiff said.

Intact Group has grown significantly in a short period of time in a competitive market, claiming large corporations such as one of Australia’s major banks and facility managers, Colliers International and CB Richard Ellis, as valued clients.

Intact Group’s Managing Director Nathan Dale said winning the Telstra NSW Business of the Year Award would serve as an affirmation of the achievements of every employee who had worked tirelessly to achieve the organisation’s goals.

MYOB CEO Tim Reed praised Intact Group for its achievement in winning the MYOB Small Business Award, adding: “Intact Group has demonstrated the sound business practices, strong leadership and client focus that made the business the success it is today.
