A ‘Wisr’ partnership strengthens Platform Finance’s business team

Australia’s first neo lender, Wisr, has joined Platform Finance’s consumer lending panel allowing more than half of all finance brokers access to Wisr’s unsecured personal loans.

Wisr’s head of growth Peter Beaumont said Wisr had a sharp focus on growing and supporting its broker channel.

“We are extremely pleased to be working with Platform Finance.  We aim to help their brokers create new business streams while providing a smarter, fairer, wiser deal for their customers,” he said.

Wisr has recently recorded 46 per cent quarter on quarter growth in loan settlements through the broker channel as at 30 September 2018.  Following on from this growth, the company has announced two key appointments in broker business and digital development.  Kyle Abourizk has been promoted to Business Development Manager and will work with the national business development team to support brokers in NSW, WA and SA.

The new head of digital, Per Thoresson joins Wisr from IBM IX.  He will lead the company’s digital strategy, including the development of existing digital channels and new product introduction.

Wisr Chief Executive Officer, Anthony Nantes said Wisr was focused on delivery industry-leading digital solutions that exceed borrower expectations.

“It has been a big part of our record growth during the past year,” he said.

“Almost 80,000 Australians have engaged with Wisr through our digital channels so far this financial year and we continue to add new customers every month. The appointment of such a senior professional will deliver an even more engaging experience and pave the way for future digital product innovation.”

Wisr’s rapid growth has led to the company almost tripling the number of staff during the past 12 months as the company continues to go through a period of significant growth.
