Plan for business emergencies with new iPad app

The federal government has launched its first iPad app for businesses, designed to give SMB owners access to emergency planning information anytime, anywhere.

The interactive MyBizShield app allows small businesses to create an emergency plan tailored to their business.

“MyBizShield makes it easier for small business owners to protect their livelihood from any emergency,” Minister for Small Business Senator Nick Sherry said.

“MyBizShield will help small businesses before, during and after an emergency. It includes practical steps such as backing up data and maintaining accurate insurance claim records.”

The app will help businesses to have an emergency plan in place for unpredictable events such as bushfires and burglaries.

Sherry said digital tools are important in keeping the Australian Government connected with small businesses.

“Small businesses are embracing new technologies to improve they way they operate.”
