This program is designed to provide eligible businesses with a range of valuable features. These include the coveted verified badge, subject to a verification process, dedicated account support, and various tools to enhance their online presence.

The key advantages of the Meta Verified program for businesses encompass the following:

  1. Verified Badge: This prestigious badge serves as a mark of authenticity, confirming the legitimacy of your business.
  2. Impersonation Protection: Proactive monitoring is in place to combat impersonation, fortifying your brand’s security.
  3. Account Support: Access to a dedicated support system is provided to help businesses troubleshoot account-related issues.
  4. Enhanced Visibility: Meta Verified businesses have the opportunity to be prominently featured in search results and recommended as a verified business to follow within user feeds.

All of these benefits can be yours for a monthly fee, starting at just AU $45.99.

A subscription to the Meta Verified program will encompass business authentication, impersonation protection, account support, and features to help your business stand out. This program is tailored to help businesses distinguish themselves on Meta’s platforms and instill confidence in their customers. Businesses can choose between a single-app subscription or a bundled subscription covering Instagram and Facebook, with potential expansion to WhatsApp in the future. With a monthly subscription, businesses gain access to a toolkit that includes:

  • Verified Badge: Providing validation and authenticity for your business.
  • Proactive Impersonation Monitoring: Enhancing brand protection.
  • Account Support: Assistance with troubleshooting account issues.
  • New Discoverability Avenues: Subscribers will be featured as Meta Verified businesses on Instagram and Facebook, increasing visibility in search results and recommendations in user feeds. WhatsApp business subscribers will enjoy additional premium features, such as a discoverable custom WhatsApp page and multi-device support for efficient customer responses.

The Meta Verified business subscription complements the existing range of free and paid tools available to businesses on Meta’s platforms. It is primarily geared towards helping small businesses establish their brand and connect with new customers. As the program evolves based on initial testing, more value-adding tools will be introduced to cater to businesses of all sizes, facilitating easier engagement with verified businesses on Meta’s apps.

Harry Lowes, Head of SMB, Meta ANZ: “We’ve been hearing from businesses that they’re eager to build more credibility and get greater visibility, so we’re excited to start rolling out Meta Verified for businesses in Australia, which will help people know that the businesses they’re engaging with are validated and authentic. We’ll continue to evolve what’s included in the subscriber toolkit to make sure we’re bringing the best value to businesses.”

Meta Verified business subscriptions will be available for purchase on Instagram and Facebook in the coming weeks in select test countries. Monthly subscriptions start at $21.99 USD/month per Facebook page or Instagram account, or $34.99 USD/month for both. WhatsApp will also undergo testing for small businesses before expanding the Meta Verified program to the WhatsApp Business Platform.
