Telstra Business Women’s Awards nominations close 21st June

Australian women in all business sectors are urged to nominate now for the 2010 Telstra Business Women’s Awards, with nominations closing on Monday 21st June.

Ms Kate McKenzie, Telstra’s Chief Marketing Officer and Telstra Business Women’s Awards Ambassador, said the Telstra Business Women’s Awards have been running for 16 years and continue to provide a unique opportunity to inspire business women to reach and exceed their goals.

“Being part of the Awards program provides women with an opportunity to step out of their busy business lives to meet with like minded individuals, share ideas and to build their networks,” Ms McKenzie said.

The Awards attract a diverse range of women across all sectors and industries from blue chip corporations and government and community services to fashion and retail business owners.  They provide an opportunity for inspiring business women to gain the recognition and promotion of their achievements they deserve.

“To date, the calibre of women who have entered the Awards is impressive. Australia should be proud to have so many successful business women,” Ms McKenzie added.

The five categories are; the Commonwealth Bank Business Owner Award, Hudson Private and Corporate Sector Award, White Pages Community and Government Award, Nokia Business Innovation Award and marie claire Young Business Women’s Award.

Awards are offered in each category in every state and territory and winners are eligible for the national finals in November.

The Awards offer more than $200,000 in overall cash and prizes, as well as the honour of winning Australia’s most prestigious business women’s prize and joining an alumni of outstanding past winners.
