Cisco launches products to help SMEs in APAC accelerate their digitisation

Cisco is launching networking and security products to assist small and medium businesses (SMBs) in Asia-Pacific.

These products, including Cisco Catalyst™ 1200 and 1300 Series switches and Cisco Meraki MX, simplify and speed up network and security setup, designed to fit the specific needs and budget of SMBs.

The new Catalyst switches streamline network setup for SMBs and can be used on-site or as cloud-based solutions, making it faster for SMBs to adopt technology and take advantage of digital opportunities.

“In the rapidly changing business world, SMB customers are increasingly looking for digital transformation. SMBs are investing in applications to compete and also in the infrastructure and security needed for those applications,” said Andrew Sage, Vice President, Global Distribution, and SMB Sales at Cisco. “Cisco is focused on developing solutions to ensure applications are secure and accessible, while also enabling partners to deliver outcomes for SMB customers.”

Simplifying Network Management for SMBs

Switches are crucial for any network, enabling communication between connected devices within a building or campus. The new Catalyst switches are easily managed with the Cisco Business Dashboard, simplifying network management by automating deployment and monitoring. The switches can also be set up and managed through the Cisco Business mobile app.

Cisco also launched Meraki MX, an all-in-one security and SD-WAN solution addressing SMB cybersecurity needs, including firewall, content filtering, threat protection, VPN, cellular failover, web application, and VoIP health. It is fully cloud-managed for easy installation and remote management.

Flexible Consumption Models

Cisco introduced MSP Express for SMB, offering scalable Managed Services that partners can provide to SMBs in the region. This allows SMBs to choose how they consume technology based on their priorities.

“The SMB segment is a significant area of investment and focus for Cisco, especially in Asia-Pacific. This includes working with our partner community and enabling them to better serve SMBs with a new program,” said Michiko Kamata, Managing Director SMB and Distributions Sales, Cisco APJC. “This initiative consolidates resources across Cisco to help partners deliver the best outcomes for SMB customers in the region.”
