Tech23 invites applications for deep tech startups

Applications for young, high-growth, deep tech startups seeking to create new industries, disrupt existing ones, and offer smarter solutions to present at the Tech23 Showcase 2021 are now open.

Tech23 will exhibit the innovation and potential of 23 startups to an audience of potential investors, partners, customers, and mentors for the 13th year in a row. On stage, successful applicants will get the opportunity to share their stories and interact with prominent Industry Leaders.

Since 2009, Tech23 has been unlocking new ways of working by connecting the dots between business and innovative technology. Tech23 aims to bring out the best by encouraging the deep tech ecosystem to interact, learn, and respond while accessing a vast pool of talent, connections, and knowledge.

As part of the programme, Tech23 companies will be able to make vital connections with possible investors, customers, partners, personnel, and mentors, as well as expand their business network and meet and hear from key participants in the innovation ecosystem.

The programme also intends to assist businesses. They gain publicity and recognition by presenting for 3-5 minutes to a welcoming audience and the presentation is recorded on YouTube for future use.

Accelo, Airwallex, Culture Amp, BuildingIQ, Fleet, Hivery, Kaggle, Rome2rio, Smart Sparrow, Morse Micro, Seer Medical, and Tiliter are among the Tech23 alumni.

“With the goal to adapt and respond to an increasingly uncertain world, Tech23 2021 aims to bring together those that can make great things happen. Now, more than ever is the time to amplify the innovation that has the power to shape our future,” tech23 said.

Game-changing Tech23 Alumni companies making international waves include Accelo, Fleet Space, Kasada, and Myriota. Swoop Aero, Microba, and Presien are among those addressing healthcare challenges.

Airwallex, Canopus Networks, and Quantum Brilliance are among the productivity leaders. Redback Technologies, Power Ledger, and BuildingIQ are fighting carbonisation, while Agworld, Flurosat, and AgriDigital are leaders in sustainable agriculture.

“The NSW Government believes deep-tech is a key strength for NSW and Tech23 is a fantastic opportunity for some of the most innovative people in our society to showcase their incredible work.

“Innovation is so important and the NSW Government is keen to support people with great ideas; their ability to solve big problems will help grow our economy and create future jobs,” Minister for Jobs, Investment, Tourism, and Western Sydney Stuart Ayres
