Win three years of rent-free space

Woodlea is presenting a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for hospitality business owners.

The lucky entrepreneur will be able to rent a cafe space for three years with no rent charges. This translates into savings of around $200,000. The indoor/outdoor space and fully equipped commercial kitchen are located in a bustling community adjacent to Aintree Reserve and a jumping pillow, with over 13,000 residents.

The successful candidate will save $50,000 in rent per annum for the first year and utility costs, including gas, water, and electricity. The business will also have an opportunity to renew its liquor license.

The current cafe space is available until September 2024. After that, the business owner will be offered a larger 134 sqm space at Woodlea’s new flagship Display Village, saving an additional $70,000 in rent per annum for two more years.

The new space is situated near Woodlea’s public primary and upcoming secondary school, a future active open space with soccer fields and a dog park (opening next year). It is also linked to a 56m2 community area, which offers a chance for the successful entrepreneur to provide additional connected services to enhance their business. There is also an option to access more space for growing produce or a productive kitchen.

According to Woodlea Project Director Matthew Dean, the community is enthusiastic about welcoming a new vendor and believes the unique offer will revolutionise the successful business.

Dean stated that it is unheard of to get three years of free rent, including utilities while having access to a thriving community of over 13,000 residents, which is expected to grow quickly in the coming years.

Woodlea is excited about the opportunity and believes it will be a growth catalyst for the successful business, allowing them to utilise previous Woodlea businesses’ insights into what resonates with the community and where the demand lies.

Dean said they are open to various food and beverage business offerings, including cafes, bakeries, and restaurants, and look forward to providing key amenities to support the community’s needs and wants.
